Lošinjska deklaracija o biotičkom suverenitetu

          ███  Lošinjska deklaracija o biotičkom suverenitetu donesena je u sklopu 3. Lošinjskih dana bioetike, koji su se održali u Malom Lošinju (Hrvatska) od 14. do 16. lipnja 2004. godine. Ovom se deklaracijom ističe važnost očuvanja područja živog i područja kulture kao suverenih cjelina koje moraju ostati zaštićene i otporne na globalizacijske učinke koji ih ugrožavaju. Deklaracija uvodi pojam biotičkog suvereniteta kao načela samoodržanja životne zajednice i poziva na odbacivanje uvođenja genetički modificiranih organizama (GMO) u prirodu zbog mogućih nepovratnih i katastrofalnih posljedica. Također, Deklaracijom se kritizira hrvatski Zakon o zaštiti prirode (2003.) koji dopušta GMO te poziva na primjenu bioetičkog pristupa i na međunarodnu suradnju u zaštiti biotičkog suvereniteta.

          ███  The Lošinj Declaration of Biotical Sovereignty was adopted as part of the 3rd Lošinj Days of Bioethics, which took place in Mali Lošinj (Croatia) from June 14 to 16, 2004. The Declaration emphasizes the importance of preserving the sphere of the living and the sphere of culture as sovereign spheres that must remain protected and resistant to the effects of globalization that threaten them. The Declaration introduces the concept of biotical sovereignty as a principle of self-preservation of the living community and calls for rejecting the introduction of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) into nature with possible irreversible and catastrophic consequences. Also, the Declaration criticizes the Croatian Environment Protection Law (2003), which allows GMOs, and calls for applying a bioethical approach and for international cooperation in protecting biotical sovereignty.

          ███  Die Lošinjer Deklaration über biotische Souveränität wurde im Rahmen der 3. Lošinjer Tage der Bioethik verabschiedet, die vom 14. bis 16. Juni 2004 in Mali Lošinj (Kroatien) stattfanden. Der Deklaration zufolge ist notwendig, die Bereiche des Lebens und der Kultur als souveräne Bereiche zu bewahren, die vor den bedrohlichen Auswirkungen der Globalisierung geschützt und widerstandsfähig bleiben müssen.
