This Summer the Humane Philosophy Project will co-organise the 19th International Dominican Study Week and Conference in collaboration with The Croatian Dominican Province, the Centre of Excellence for Integrative Bioethics ( University of Zagreb) and the Ian Ramsey Centre for Science and Religion (University of Oxford).
The International Dominican Study Week is an opportunity for students of philosophy and theology to spend a week on the Dalmatian coast of Croatia, furthering their studies alongside friars of the Order of Preachers. Those teaching at the study week will include HPP organisers Ralph Weir, Samuel Hughes and Mikolaj Slawkowski-Rode, as well as Marija Selak from Zagreb University, and Benedikt Gocke a post doctoral research fellow at teh Ian Ramsey Centre Oxford. This year’s topic will be:
Rationality and the Problem of Evil
The study week proper (28th August-1st September) will be followed by a conference (2nd-3rd September) on the same topic, with keynote speaker:
